Ukraine: No Gov’t Till Thursday

ukraineThough Ukraine’s interim government was supposed to announce its new leaders today, it has instead decided to postpone elections for a new unity government until Thursday.

Experts believe the delay is due to economic and political tensions in the aftermath of Russian-backed President Viktor Yanukovych’s tumultuous reign and departure.

Unsurprisingly, Russia has already criticized the still-unformed government by claiming it was founded through “armed mutiny” and “terrorist methods.” Fearing, perhaps, the loss of compliant state leaders, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said, “it will be hard for us to work with that government.” Read more at The Washington Post.
