Nothing to worry about here, folks. The material stolen by ISIS militants in the Iraqi city of Mosul is “low grade” and doesn’t pose a threat to security, according to the United Nations’ nuclear agency.
After seizing the city last month, the group took control of 40 kilograms of uranium compounds used in research at the university.
According to Iraq’s U.N. ambassador, the material could be used to make weapons of mass destruction, and ISIS also has control of a former chemical weapons facility near Baghdad. Read more.
