Update On Har Nof Fund

I am writing to give you an update on the amazing success of The Har Nof Fund which you have been an integral part of – and to present a challenge for you.

With the deadline approaching to reach our goal of $1,000,000 and get the maximum benefit of the matching funds by tomorrow, communities around the world mobilized to help with the effort.

Fearing that the donations will slow down once the $1 million was reached, a donor from Chicago who received a chain email from a friend, has agreed to raise the matching funds from $1 million to $1.1 million dollars, by pledging up to $100,000!

As I send out this email, the totals raised so far are approximately $900,000 BEFORE ALL MATCHING! This entire effort was started from one email to my office staff, plus 20 outside friends!

I am confident that, in the next 24 hours, at the rate the money is coming in, we will I”H reach and exceed the $1.1 million goal, which will mean the fund will have $2.2 million+ to distribute. But there is so much more we can do. Time after time over the past week, it looked like the campaign had slowed, only for it to be ignited again and gain more and more momentum. Last Friday alone, thousands joined to jump the total from $37,000 to over $230,000 – and that is with a short day. It is amazing what you all accomplished! Let’s ignite the same success this Friday.

This is where the challenge comes in: Be inspired by what one lone email did, and believe that you can do the same. The link below has a special code that is unique to you. Forward this exact email to whomever you originally forwarded your emails to, and to others as well. So many people that originally overlooked the original chain were so inspired by the outpouring of support, that it inspired them to donate as well. Send it to the administrator of your shul list, your community list, and your friends and family. Even if a shul or community sent an initial email blast about the fund, sending this amazing progress certainly warrants another push. We will send you a report on the amount your email generated. You will be amazed at what you can accomplish!
