Update On Perth Amboy Shul Trial

The following is from the askonim involved in the case:

The testimony part of the trial is now over and the judge gave our legal team a week to file briefs. The defendants will have a week after to respond after which the judge will give a ruling at his discretion.

Whatever the outcome is, the trial gave a opportunity for many facts to come out which will undoubtedly aid our legal team if need be.

We believe we presented a strong legal argument based on the many illegal and unethical behavior of the defendants in addition to our continued argument in court that even according to secular law, the case should still be heard in a Bais Din.
Testimony was also given by Rabbi Yosef Carlebach, and Rabbi Ben Kelson Esq.

A special thank you goes to all those that came to the courthouse in New Brunswick to show their support.
