rav-yosef-shalom-elyashivYidden are storming the heavens to grant rachamim to gedolim who are battling illness.

The posek hador, Rav Yosef Shalom Elyashiv, remains at Shaarei Tzedek Hospital, where he has been hospitalized since last Sunday. He is said to be in critical but stable condition. He is connected to a respirator and cannot breathe without assistance. Klal Yisroel is asked to continue davening for Rav Yosef Shalom ben Chaya Musha.

Rav Yitzchok Tuvia Weiss, Gaon Av Bais Din of the Eidah Hachareidis of Yerushalayim, was hospitalized yesterday, also at Shaarei Tzedek Hospital in Yerushalayim, for symptoms of pneumonia. He is being treated with medication and is said to be doing better. Rav Weiss visited Rav Elyashiv in the cardiac section of the hospital yesterday, where he said Tehillim before returning to his room. All are asked to daven for Rav Yitzchok Tuvia ben Rickel.

Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman, senior rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Orchos Torah and Gaon Yaakov in Bnei Brak, is hospitalized at Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center. He had been feeling unwell and suffering from fever, but he is said to be improving. He participated in a minyan in his room for Shacharis and said the Kaddish Derabonon as he usually does each day.  It is possible that Rav Shteinman will be able to return home in a day or two. All are asked to daven for Rav Aharon Yehudah Leib ben Gittel Faiga.

Rav Yisroel Belsky, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Torah Vodaas in Kensington, Brooklyn, and one of the senior poskim in the United States, remains hospitalized at Maimonides Medical Center in Boro Park after undergoing surgery for a punctured esophagus and collapsed lung. All are asked to daven for Rav Yisroel ben Chana Tzirel.

Rav Yaakov Yosef, son of Chacham Ovadiah Yosef, is continuing his busy schedule of shiurim and meeting with petitioners as he battles pancreatic cancer. All are asked to daven for Rav Yaakov Chai ben Margalit.

  2. oy vey. i once heard a story were rav elyashivs parents didnt have children 4 20 years they went to a big mekubal who said you will have a son who will light up the the world and he will live to see the footstep;s of mashiach and mashiach yidden do teshuva b4 its to late
