U.S. Aircraft Carrier Ready to Stop Iran

The United States Navy has dispatched the USS Theodore Roosevelt into waters off the coast of Yemen to potentially stop Iranian ships carrying weapons to aid the rebels who are taking hold of the country.

The ships are not going to intercept Iranian vessels, according to officials. The Houthi rebels in Yemen have pushed out the country’s president and are fighting for control against pro-government troops and Saudi Arabian airstrikes. Read more.

  1. Wait shouldn’t we be worried? Iran has shown they can can blow up an unarmed, unmoving, wooden aircraft carrier, so what is to say they can’t blow up an armed, mobile, steel and Kevlar aircraft carrier armed with missiles, antiaircraft guns, anti missile systems, protected by the worlds most advanced aircraft, and with several ships, submarines, and helicopters who’s sole mission is protecting the carrier?
