In a statement posted on Twitter, al Qaeda of the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) said that one of its leading members has been killed by a U.S. airstrike in the Yemeni province of Shabwa on Jan. 31.
Harith bin Ghazi al-Nathari was on AQAP’s legal committee, according to the statement. On Monday, an additional three al Qaeda suspects were taken down by a U.S. drone strike. Read more at CNN.
