U.S. Intel ‘Black Budget’ Revealed

ciaThe details of the U.S. government’s top secret “black budget” for national intelligents is revealed in a blockbuster report from The Washington Post and driven by information provided by now-fugitive NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden.

The governement spent over $50 billion on the 16 agencies, and the budget details for the first time how that massive figure is broken down. The CIA gets far and away the most funding; the agency requested $14.7 billion for 2013, much higher than any oustide estimate.

Despite the enormous expense, the agencies report numerous “blind spots” where they have not been able to provide the president clear information on terrorist threats. Read more at The Washington Post.
