The U.S. military says ISIS did not shoot down a Jordanian war plane, as the Islamic terrorist group claimed to have it done. Gen. Lloyd Austin, head of U.S. Central Command, said in a statement that evidence indicates ISIS “did not down the aircraft.” Instead, ISIS appears to be using the plane downing as an opportunity to “misrepresent or exploit this unfortunate aircraft crash for their own purposes.”
The U.S. military did not provide an explanation for what caused the Jordanian F-16 downing. Jordan has confirmed that the captured pilot is one of their own. Read more.
