U.S. Preps Response to North Korea

There is a good chance that North Korea’s threats to begin nuclear testing and ignite war are all talk. But just in case, the United States and South Korea are prepared with a “counterprovocation” plan to respond proportionally to any attack from Pyongang while simultaneously keeping tensions from escalating into a full-out war.

Meanwhile, back on the Korean Peninsula, the North has decided to destroy any last semblance of cooperation with the South. Pyongyang has been preventing South Korean workers from entering the Kaesong Industrial Complex, an economic zone that the two countries share, and has now announced that it will be pulling all of its own workers out, possibly shutting down the zone completely. Read more at The New York Times.
