U.S. Teen Pleads Guilty to Helping ISIS

isis1A Colorado teenager pleaded guilty in federal court today to providing material support to ISIS and other al-Qaeda affiliates. Shannon Maureen Conley, 19, was investigated by the FBI when the Faith Bible Church of Arvada, Colorado noticed her stalking the premises. She told an FBI agent she hated the church for its support of Israel.

“If they think I’m a terrorist, I’ll give them something to think I am,” she said.

Federal agents search her home and found lectures by Anwar al-Awlaki, an American-born Islamic militant, and shooting targets labeled with rounds and distances. She was apprehended at Denver International Airport as she was about to board a plan to Syria. Recently, a number of Americans have been discovered to be going abroad to fight with ISIS. Read more at the Denver Post.
