Today, the U.S. slapped sanctions on more than 25 individuals and businesses that it believes has violated sanctions against Iran. The Treasury Department said it was targeting a number of companies, including Iran’s Asia Bank, Meraj Air, and Lissom Marine Services LLC. It said the sanctions were for, among other things, helping Iran’s missile and nuclear program and supporting terrorism.
The Department of State said it was also imposing sanctions on companies it believes has aided Iran’s nuclear program, including Dettin SpA of Italy, and UAE-based Goldentex FZE. Read more.
