rav-matisyahu-salomon[Video below.] Thousands gathered last night at Beth Medrash Govoha in Lakewood, NJ, for the first shmuess delivered by Rav Matisyahu Salomon, mashgiach of Beth Medrash Govoha, since he underwent surgery a month ago.

As Rav Salomon entered the Israel Henry Beren Hall dining room, the thousands of talmidim broke out into spontaneous singing of “Chasdei Hashem ki lo samnu.”

The four roshei yeshiva, Rav Malkiel Kotler, Rav Yeruchem Olshin, Rav Dovid Schustal and Rav Yisroel Neuman, were all in attendance for the shmuess.

Rav Salomon served for 30 years as mashgiach ruchani and senior mashgiach of Gateshead Yeshiva, and in 1998, moved to Lakewood and assumed the position of mashgiach at America’s largest yeshiva.

The mashgiach and his wife, Rebbetzin Miriam, have been supremely devoted to the larger American Olam Hatorah since their arrival on these shores.

May the mashgiach have a refuah sheleimah.

The name for Tehillim is Matisyahu Chaim ben Ettil.

  1. Esteemed Matzavnikim, might I draw your attention to the fact that those of us who only allow a filtered list of websites (such as matzav.com) onto our computers cannot access videos when the website is matzIv. Can this be rectified in the future?
