[Video below.] The following is a video of the IDF field hospital set up in soccer field in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, which continues to operate in amazing fashion, one week after the earthquake. Footage includes comments by the hospital commander, Col. Dr. Itzik Kryce.
The IDF field hospital is currently the most advanced medical facility in the area, with intensive care units and operating rooms, as well as over 40 doctors and specialists. Currently 39 surgeries have been performed on survivors of the earthquake and 4 babies have been delivered.In order to assist in the ongoing relief efforts, an additional IDF aid delegation was scheduled to depart to Haiti overnight. The delegation will be headed by the OC Home Front Command, Maj. Gen. Yair Golan and will also include the Director General of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Eytan Chai-Am and Surgeon General, Brig. Gen., Nachman Ash.
The delegation will deliver relief reinforcements that include medicine and additional equipment. Upon its arrival, the delegation will examine the needs of the IDF medical staff on the scene.
The field hospital established by the IDF includes a medical lab, pharmacy and an x-ray center. Over 250 patients were admitted to the hospital thus far, most of them in moderate condition.

I congratulate the IDF hospital in their efforts and success with what they have done in Haiti. They are just absolutely amazing beautiful people. God bless all of them ! They have truly touched my heart watching them give spiritual, emotional support along with the medicine and doctoring. Its enough to be proud of them like they are my own children. Their response time was like unto a mighty wind .when everyone else was sleeping they were already on their way. You go Israel !
