lipa[Video below.] In honor of his latest release, Lipa Schmeltzer met with our good friend Yossi Zweig, of The Jewish Insights, to discuss his unique project ahead of Pesach. The new release, a full color, attractive Hagaddah, features photos of Lipa depicting the various parts of the Seder, bringing the scenes to life.

The unique project is a departure from Lipa’s forte, his musical talents, as Lipa tries his hand in other creative endeavors.

The interview, conducted by Yossi Zweig, took place at Plaza Dining in Brooklyn, NY, and was filmed by another friend of ours, Yossi Tepper of The Video Maven.

  1. unless it contains offensive words.. why is it many comments are deleted? thats the beauty of this section. once you take it away your basically throwing away free speech. You cant expect me to be a client… shove what you want with your agenda down my throat and not expect some negetive response in return!! open ur eyes n smell the coffee

  2. I don’t know why people are ashamed? Everyone has a choice to buy or not to buy. That is the
end and the beginning of it. It is the decision of the head of each househoild.

  3. I’m just curious, why does the moderator delete the comments, rather than not publish them at all?
(you don’t have to print this, it’s just my question to the editor. I would think that’s just as insulting to Lipa to know that people made nasty comments rather than to not publish what they wrote at all. In fact, it seems that they wrote very nasty things- nasty enough to be deleted.)
Just my 2-cents, if you don’t mind.

  4. No. 4

You may be “concerned”, but whether or not you are “valued” (in the context of this website) is for http://www.matzav.com to decide.

Please also note that your recommendation that the editors should open “ur eyes n smell the coffee” is physically impossible for them to achieve – even if they wanted to.

  5. To add that this haggadah is brilliant! Side-splittingly funny illustrations, with beautiful high quality text and laminated pages. Bought this for my teenagers – they should both be zoche to be more like Lipa Schmeltzer – and I’m not kidding.
