Each year, hundreds upon hundreds of people gather at Beth Medrash Govoha in Lakewood, NJ, for a Purim mesibah on the first night of Purim, Motzoei Taanis Esther. Last night was no different, and, once again, the gathering was an uplifting one, with beautiful singing and divrei Torah from the roshei hayeshiva and mashgiach.

This year, for the second time, the event took place in the Bais Aron Bais Medrash of the yeshiva at the corner of Tenth Street and Madison Avenue.

One of the highlights was the participation of Rav Matisyahu Salomon, mashgiach of the yeshiva, who has battled illness during the last period and had not been in the yeshiva in a while. Rav Salomon delivered divrei hisorerus, as did the rosh yeshiva, Rav Malkiel Kotler.

Zemiros were once again be led by Reb Abish Brodt and his sons. The music was arranged and by Shloime Friedman.

The event started at about 10:45 p.m. and continued until approximately 2 a.m.
