Video, Photos: Rav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi Delivers Rousing Address at Lakewood Acheinu Asifa

 [Video and photos below.] Last night, a crowd gathered at Lakewood’s Bais Faiga Hall for an asifa held to highlight the achievements of Acheinu, the dynamic kiruv organization in Eretz Yisroel.

Rav Matisyahu Salomon, mashgiach of Bais Medrash Govohah, who on a trip to Eretz Yisroel last year gained a firsthand look of Acheinu’s work, delivered an inspiring address at the asifa, sharing some of what he personally saw and exhorting the audience to provide support for this important kiruv mosad.

The crowd also heard from Rabbi Dovid Hofstedter, the well-known founder of Acheinu and Dirshu, as well as the evening’s chairman, Rabbi Menashe Frankel.

The highlight of the evening was the rousing address by the keynote speaker, Rav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Ateres Yisroel in Yerushalayim. He shared a powerful message and fascinating anecdotes that left the audience spellbound. He related two stories, one about the Brisker Rov and another about the Chasam Sofer and Rav Nosson Adler, and both can be seen in the Matzav.com video below.

At the event, a video of Rav Michel Yehudah Lefkowitz, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Ponovezh L’Tzeirim, delivering a special address exclusively for the Lakewood community was show.

Acheinu’s revolutionary work with Israeli youth started 16 years ago with the goal of returning unaffiliated Israeli children to Torah. With great siyata diShmaya, Acheinu’s trained staff and network of volunteers have a 93% success rate of ensuring that these children remain shomrei Torah umitzvos.
