[Video below.] Lakewood, NJ – Rav Eliezer Yehuda Finkel, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Mir-Yerushalayim, the largest yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel, visited Beth Medrash Govoah, the largest yeshiva in chutz la’aretz, yesterday. At the end of first seder, Rav Finkel delivered a shmuess to a tremendous crowd of thousands in the dining room of the Israel Henry Beren Hall building of the yeshiva.

Rav Finkel was warmly greeted by the roshei yeshiva and talmidim of the yeshiva.

Rav Finkel was in the United States this week to attend the annual dinner of Yeshivas Mir-Yerushalayim, which was held Sunday night. The Rosh Hayeshiva zt”l International Legacy Dinner at the New York Brooklyn Marriott was dedicated in memory of Rav Finkel’s father, the unforgettable rosh yeshiva, Rav Nosson Tzvi Finkel zt”l.

As reported on Matzav.com last week, the writing of a Sefer Torah l’illui nishmas Rav Nosson Tzvi commenced last week in Lakewood. The Sefer Torah, being commissioned by an anonymous talmid of the rosh yeshiva, is going to be dedicated to Bais Medrash Govoah, joining together the two largest mekomos haTorah in the world in a unique display of kavod haTorah.
