Video: The Official Closing of the IDF Aid Delegation in Haiti – 1,111 Patients, 317 Surgeries, 16 Births

idf-haiti1[Video below.] The IDF aid delegation has dismantled the field hospital built in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. Patients needing further care have been transferred to other delegations while tents and beds have been taken apart.

Today, the head of the medical team, Col. Doc. Itzik Kryce, spoke to the entire delegation during the final roll call. In the following video, he  describes the pride he feels seeing the success of the mission and emphasizes the importance of representing Israel and the IDF’s values in Haiti.

The roll call ended with the delegation singing  “Hatikva.”

To date: 1,111 patients were treated, 317 surgeries were preformed, and 16 births took place at the IDF field hospital.

  1. The face of the baby at the 1:17 mark says it all. He — or she — went from being drowsy to being alert, with an open, trusting face. Nothing bad happened to him there, only good. Thank you IDF for representing the people of Israel.
