[Video below.] Rav Shmuel Yaakov Kohn, the Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok Rebbe, is currently in the United States on a visit to raise funds for Mosdos Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok.
The Rebbe arrived at Kennedy Airport on Sunday and stayed in Monsey for the first three days of his visit. Sunday evening, the Rebbe attended a chanukas habayis for the new Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok shul in Monsey, marking a joyous new start for the local kehillah. In Monsey, the Rebbe was hosted by R’ Yosef Leib Ausch.
The Rebbe arrived last night in Lakewood. A reception was held last night at the home of his host, R’ Yehoshua Neuman, in County Line Manor. He then visited the home of Reb Faivel Engelman.
The Rebbe will be in Lakewood until tonight, when he will travel to Boro Park to spend Shabbos with the community there. The tefillos and tischen will draw thousands to the newly renovated and expanded school building of Bais Esther Klausenberg, located at 1353 50th Street.
Next Shabbos, the Rebbe is scheduled to be in Five Towns.
The Rebbe’s visit is taking place so soon after Yom Tov to enable the Rebbe to be back in Eretz Yisroel in time for the first yahrtzeit of his son-in-law, hakadosh Rav Leibish Teitelbaum Hy”d, who was murdered last November in the terror attack in Mumbai. Last year’s rescue mission on behalf of the desperate Mosdos Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok was tragically cut short, as the Rebbe rushed home to be with his family.
The Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok Mosdos, famous for their high standard of Torah education, has experienced a very difficult year, barely managing to remain afloat. Rabbi Menachem Schwartz, long-time administrator of the Mosdos, explained how desperate the financial situation is, with the teachers and students valiantly forging ahead despite the difficult physical conditions. Rabbi Schwartz is accompanying the Rebbe to America, hoping for a strong show of solidarity from the Jewish communities he will be visiting.

There was also a beautiful Kabolas Ponim for the Rebbe at the house of the reknown Yizchok Schonberger and family.
its just funny that youll never hear of a kabolos ponim for a rosh yeshive in a chasidishhe community.just an observation:)
Not true; R’ Malkeil Kotler 7 R’ Mattisyahyu Solomon from Lakewood, as well as other Roshei Yeshiva, are very welcomed in Satmar in Kiryas Yoel as well as other Chasidishe Kehillos. It just isn’t publicized as much.
Maybe it is not publicized as much but when a Chaisidhe Rebbe comes to Lakewood (big Or Samall) there is so much P/R & hype that people want to get in on the action. The people who make these receptions would not even consider making a Kabolos Ponim for a Rosh Hayeshiva (myabe somebody in the caliber of Reb Aaron Leib Steinman or Reb Nosson Zvi Finkel they will make) but for anybody else there is nobody home.
