A man has been fined €70 (£54) for burping too loudly in a Vienna park after feasting on a kebab, SKY NEWS reports.

Barman Edin Mehic was given a ticket after letting loose within earshot of a policeman on 7 February.

The ticket, posted on his Facebook page, says he offended “public decency with a loud belch next to a police officer.”

Mehic said he had eaten the kebab and was enjoying a Sunday stroll in the city’s Prater park when he burped and “felt a hand on his shoulder.” Mehic was apprehended during a Sunday stroll in idyllic Prater park.

Police spokesman Roman Hahslinger confirmed the belching offence had taken place, SKY NEWS reports.

  1. What fabolous and wonderfully important piece of info we could never do without, it is going to win the nobel prize for physics, chemistry, medicine, biology, and also economy. Perhaps the peace prize as well. Oh and since it has been a wonderful show, it’ll harvest a least half a dozen of Oscars and Emmys. Besides I am sure someone and their law firm have already patented the ringtone of the “event” and will become multimillionnaires in no time at all.

What would we do on thursday evenings without this essential piece of news!!! Hey, tomorrow morning the stock market would have collapsed, were it not for the “shock wave”!!!
