The biggest retailer in the world has agreed to boost its U.S. workers’ pay to $9 an hour, which is $1.75 above the federal minimum wage. Walmart announced the wage hike Thursday, adding that it expects employees to earn at least $10 an hour by Feb. 1, 2016. Both full-time and part-time employees will benefit from the increase.

The retailer also announced that employees’ schedules will be set at least 2 1/2 weeks in advance and some workers will be given fixed shifts. Read more at Bloomberg.
