Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., stepped up to bat for former President Barack Obama on Tuesday after he was criticized for accepting $400,000 for a speech at a Wall Street firm’s healthcare conference in September.

“Of all people to question … their commitment to getting money out of politics, to really making sure we restored integrity to political finance process, President Obama couldn’t have done more,” Wasserman Schultz told CNN host Erin Burnett on Tuesday evening.

“Look, it is none of anyone’s business what someone who is a member of the private sector decides to accept in terms of compensation,” Wasserman Schultz added. “With all due respect to anyone who chooses to comment publicly on what Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, or anyone earns as a member of the private sector, it’s just MYOB.” Read more at Fox News.

  1. Funny how it was OK for Obama to continuously criticize the private sector and saying that they ake too much money. Oh, and he used his public position – a position that belongs to the people – to do all the criticizing.

  2. It’s too bad Bernie was slandered by this disgraceful lady. Mr. Sanders is the only person who consistently speaks out about these outrageous fake speaking fees.

    • sanders is somebody who never had a consistent job that fell in to politics. probably had something to do with him not being successful in any other endeavor!
