College dropout-turned-Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg finally got his degree today, and gave Harvard’s 366th commencement speech to boot.

The billionaire’s main focus in his speech was purpose. He described how through his travels around the country, people have told him they’re trying to fill a void in their lives as jobs and community become less important in modern society. And that Zuckerberg foreshadowed how these problems could worsen as technology replaces jobs.

His first strategy for the world to find purpose is for people to make the hard choice to get started on big projects. For example, it might be tough to start fighting climate change, but we can put people to work installing solar panels, or we can start ending disease by getting people to contribute their health data and genomes.

His second strategy revolves around equal opportunity. He believes “it’s time for our generation to define a new social contract” where we measure progress by everyone having a role and a purpose. Zuckerberg suggested universal basic income, affordable childcare, flexible healthcare, prison reform, and continuous education as the ways to provide this equal opportunity.

Finally, he believes that we need to build community, both locally with our neighbors, and between nations to unite the globe. Read more at TECH CRUNCH.

  1. Who cares what this RASHA holocaust denier has to say??? All his fake money that he thinks he has, won’t save him.

  2. While he certainly is an extremely wealthy and successful entrepreneur, his opinions mean absolutely zero to me, considering all the evil that he enabyand is actively promoting, and, going back, how he treated his own business partners.
Harvard gave him the podium for a hefty donation, as if the university needed it. Zuckerberg himself is a true piece of garbage.

  3. Blame the wrong society for Zuckerberg’s problems.

He grew up with no rabbis and intermarriage is not any more than another say for the unaffiliated jew.

Wonder about jews who are not in the insular community. Did we make proper kiruv?

He is sharp in what he has created. Need and hope favor the Facebook dream.

Still, we must concern his lack of yiddishkeit and intermarriage. Will he learn Torah and ever become Ba’al teshuvah?

Fear G-d. Zuckerberg eats well. Kosher would make it.

  4. Anonymous, it’s an appropriate title for you as your comments are mostly unintelligible. As for Zuckerberg, he is a total hypocrite and really made a fool of himself. If he believes what he says, let him start by giving each of the graduating students he spoke to $100,000 to repay their student loans or begin their careers with a financial cushion and the so-called freedom to create that he spoke about. Assuming there were 500 graduates, it would represent less than one one-hundredth of a percent of his $58 billion dollar worth, but like all liberals (and spiritual decendants of Eisav) , he will never give even a penny of charity. Rather the “government” (read American taxpayers) should do it. He is

I thank you for wanting another anonymous name to blame for your ill manners. Great life man! A good day in the boredom of your shallow mind! Definitely a red state of mind for voting huh?
