A water main burst in New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport on Sunday, flooding part of a terminal and plunging passengers already fed up with flight delays further into chaos. Port Authority Executive Director Rick Cotton said in a statement late Sunday that the water pipe break appeared to be “weather-related” but promised an investigation into the incident, which left travelers wading through pools of water in Terminal 4.

Authorities cut off power and heat to the flooded area as a safety precaution, and flights into and out of the terminal were subsequently delayed. The incident brought added mayhem to the airport after hundreds of flights were delayed or canceled over the weekend due to a winter storm. Read more at CBS NEW YORK.
