The chosson is a son of Rav Yehudah Svei, R”M at the Yeshiva of Philadelphia. Rav Yehudah is a son of the late rosh yeshiva of the Yeshiva of Philadelphia, Rav Elya Svei zt”l. Rav Yehudah is a son-in-law of Rav Leib Bakst zt”l, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Gedolah Ateres Mordechai of Detroit.

  1. Interestingly, Rav Yehudah Bakst, the present rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Gedolah Ateres Mordechai of Detroit, who is a son of Rav Leib Bakst zt”l and a son-in-law of Rav Levi Krupenia zt”l, is an uncle of both the chosson and the kallah.

    HOOOOWAH !!!!

  2. The point of this article, to my understanding, is that Rosh Yeshiva’s kids marry each other the way Chassidishe Rebbe’s kids marry each other. Which is interesting but so what

  3. To Rosh Yeshiva’s kids marry each other:
Your comment is as stomach turning as eating too many eggs in saltwater during the Seder.
Do you not understand? This is our entertainment! Goyim have gossip columns, we have news of big time shidduchim happening! Why do you want to deprive us? The chosson is also a great-grandson of Rav Shmuel Leib Svei a big Talmid chochom, and a Slobodka talmid. Why is Matzav depriving us of the complete yichis? This is my entertainment!!

  4. Why not say that the grandson of Avraham Avinu is marring the granddaughter of Yaakov Avinu?

Anyways Mazal Tov, may they build a BNB.

  5. Also interesting is that a first cousin of the chosson is married to a first cousin of the Levin chosson – chasuna is also tonight – see Matzav post. The big question – which chasuna will they go to?

  6. Actually, the chosson and kallah are themselves cousins – Rebbetzin Bakst (gm of the chosson) and Rebbetzin krupenia (gm of the kallah) are second cousins. Reb. Bakst’s gm was a sister to R’ Boruch Ber, who was Reb. Krupenia’s gf.

  7. The Kallah is also a great-granddaughter of HRHG R”C.P. Scheinberg Shlita, granddaughter to R’Shimon Rosengarten Shlita

  8. 1) FATFROMPLEASURE, what does HOOOWAH!!! mean?!?
    2) #2, Mr. ???, well I am going to tell you that that’s not what happened!
    3) Rosh Yeshiva’s Kids Marry Each Other, my understanding is that you defineatly don’t understand the point of this article!!
    4) #5, It’s not entertainment, it’s just beautiful that these two families are now going to be connected!
    5) #6, because that would’ve happened happened a few thousand years ago!!! Anyway’s Avraham Avinu’s grandson WAS YAAKOV AVINU!!!

  9. Part of the greatness is that Torah is marrying Torah and not looking for $$$$$$$$$$. It is a pleasure to see that the children of famous Rosh Yeshivos look for people from similar backgrounds and chashivus of Torah and are not running after rich shidduchim simply because there is money.

  10. why no mention of the kallas greatgrandfather who is baruch hashem still alive reb chaim pinchas sheinberg shlita?
