So much for progress.
House Speaker John Boehner said today that President Obama’s recent offer to avert the fiscal cliff is “not there yet.” Meanwhile, the White House rejected Boehner’s “Plan B” to push a backup tax bill, saying that it wouldn’t pass the Senate. But Boehner is still hoping to reach a deal with the president.
Boehner recently moved away from his tax increase aversion and offered to raise taxes on income over $1 million. Read more here.
