WHO: Air Pollution Causes Cancer

traffic-nycJoining asbestos, tobacco and UV rays, air pollution has been declared a carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer.

The agency, which is part of the World Health Organization, declared that air pollution is more important than second-hand smoke in terms of cancer-causing materials. Read more at NBC News.

  1. This is so stupid I don’t get it. How can they say this when they don’t even know what canser comes from its just so dumb there is no solid scientific proof for any of this.

    This is not dumb. We do know where a lot of cancers come from, and air pollution contains a lot of those dangerous substances.

    And while I hate second hand cigarette smoke, which is associated with acute respiratory conditions, the link between second hand smoke and cancer is rather weak.
