katyushaTerrorists north of the border fired a Katyusha rocket at Israel late Sunday night but it failed to reach Israel and instead injured a Lebanese woman.

The attack was staged from the area of Bint Jbil, where Hizbullah terrorists and the IDF fought a bloody battle in the Second Lebanon War in the summer of 2006.

The attempted attack on Israel was the second in two weeks, and terrorists apparently not directlyconnected with Hizbullah took responsibility for the rocket firings.

The Abdullah Azzam Brigade terrorist group, allied with Al Qaeda, said it was behind Sunday night’s Katyusha missile attack as well as the firing of approximately four rockets at Israeli territory two weeks ago. Two people were wounded in the strikes, and the IDF returned fire.

Abdullah Azzam also took responsibility for the missile attacks on Israel in 2009, the last attacks until the latest spate.
