ahmadinejad-obamaOn August 7, The Washington Post quoted unknown diplomatic sources as saying that that Egypt’s new President Mohammad Mursi will meet with his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at next month’s UN General Assembly in New York.

In addition, UN General-Secretary Ban Ki-moon has invited President Obama to join Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at a VIP lunch on Sept. 25, the opening day of the General Assembly, the newspaper added.

Iran has categorically denied the report that Iranian, Egyptian and US Presidents are due to join the VIP.
Speaking to Fars News Agency, Director-General of the Iranian Presidential Office for International Affairs Mohammad Reza Forqani dismissed the report as a media campaign. “Such reports are usually aimed at assessing the atmosphere and seeing the parties’ reactions rather than being real,” Forqani said, reiterating that such a meeting is in not at all on the Iranian president’s agenda.

Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu will not be in attendance at the gathering, but will send Defense Minister Ehud Barak in his place. At the same time, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is preparing to ask for statehood recognition when he addresses the assembly on September 29.

  1. why not? they are all muslim (a.k.a. bnei yishmael) & believe they have a commandment to destroy jews. why shouldn;t they dine together? obama is just the middleman for Hashem for the medina shel chesed of the USA & is really ALWAYS helping the muslims, rather its the palestaniens, egyptians or other biggest muslim terrorists, although america says it will not negotiate with terrorists.
