The Mea Shearim community was shaken two weeks ago, after the sudden and shocking passing of Rabbi David Tsadok. Rabbi Tsadok, a talmid chacham and father of 7 children, went to sleep on the night of October 23rd and never woke up. He had not been ill.

His wife, Rebbetzin Tsadok, is now responsible for the expenses of the family. Their home has reportedly fallen into disarray, with no money for rent or food to fill the fridge. The Jerusalem winter is quickly approaching, and the Tsadok children are without the proper clothing.

Burdened by funeral expenses, rent, school expenses, food expenses, and other basic needs, the widow is unable to support her family singlehandedly at this time.  One of the Tsadok children is also reportedly in shidduchim, and will need to delay until a wedding seems more financially viable.

Fearing homelessness and hunger, Rebbetzin Tsadok has opened an urgent fundraising campaign. At this point in time, it is the family’s only hope for a new start.
