  1. sure this is referring to the mezuza case. what about the scroll – the actual mezuza inside the case. how big is that?

  2. A mezuza made of bronze????? Mezuzos are to be written onto properly prepared parchment!!! Or if you really like to be technical, a mezuza is a doorpost or the sides of the doorframe. So a mezuza measiring 1.4 meters is hardly large.

  3. What is the point of this? I am not aware of any hiddur of having a huge mezuzah (especially as the mezuzah is not large, just the case is.)

  4. mezuzzah means post.
alternatively it is colloquially used to refer to the holy scroll containing the first two parshios of what is known as “the shema”
thirdly it is used to refer to the case with the scroll inside
only by those ignorant of judiasm is the case alone referred to as a mezuzzah
kind of reminds me of the story of the sofer who sells a man some mezuzzahs. when he goes to the mans house he sees him tossing thew parchments. upon asking him why? the man responds, “rabbi i am putting these up so many times , i dont need the instructions!”

  5. thats amazing. I hope that an explanation of what kosher mezuzua is, goes in with that to the Guinness Book of WR.
very important. being mefarsem that, can accomplish even more zechusim.
