Yaakov Shwekey to Sing at The Special Children’s Center Dinner


shwekey1Tonight, The Special Children’s Center (SCC) of Lakewood, NJ, will have its Building Completion Dinner at Lake Terrace Hall on Oak Street in Lakewood. The event will begin at 8:30 p.m. At approximately 10 p.m., Yaakov Shwekey, whose wife is one of the founders of the SCC, will lead a kumzitz. Muscial accompaniment will be by the Neginah Orchestra led by Yochi Briskman.

At the dinner, a number of supporters of the SCC will be honored, including Rabbi and Mrs. Shmuel Weisel (Guests of Honor), Mr. and Mrs. Michael Inzelbuch (Hakaras Hatov Award), and Rabbi and Mrs. Moshe Kuessous.

The Special Children’s Center provides after-school and out-of-school assistance to families of special children, providing activities and care so that the families can function like regular families do. The proceeds of the dinner will help the SCC in their effort to complete a beautiful building to house all their activities.
