moshe-yaalonMoshe Yaalon, Israel’s defense minister, remarked yesterday that drafting chareidim into the IDF should be done slowly, gradually, and in increments. He added that criminal charges and other severe sanctions against those who do not join the army are bad approaches.

“It will not lead anywhere,” he said sbout such moves. “The answer must come about progressively. The goal is to bring about the gradual enlistment of more and more chareidim and minorities

“The correct way is to encourage enlistment, not through loathing. We do not being about change with the swing of a sword, but through a steady process. That is the plan that is being drawn up and that I trust will be accepted, a plan in which both chareidim and minorities will enlist.”

  1. He understands the concept of “Asher Korcha Baderech”. We do not being about change with the swing of a sword, but through a steady process.”
I believe that we must worry about the onslaught against us through each of these approaches.
    What do you think?

  2. Finally someone with a little “Seichel”. You have to start slowly both on the secular education and on the draft. You can’t ram down throats and expect people to accept this. You go slowly and negotiate every step.
