Yerushalayim Municipality Giving Out Free Holiday Trees to Christian Residents

old-city-yerushalayim-gatesThe Yerushalayim municipality, with the support of the Jewish National Fund, will distribute free holiday trees to Christian residents of the city on Dec. 22, three days before the Christian holiday, JNS report.

“As the home of the three Abrahamic traditions, Jerusalem is dear to over 3.5 billion people of varying faiths around the world. Our city is proud to be an open city, with freedom of religion for all residents,” a press release from the Yerushalayim municipality said.

The Yerushalayim Development Authority will help local residents in the Christian Quarter of the Old City decorate for the holiday.

    The tree is the opposite of any Abrahamic tradition, as it is rooted in an ancient custom of Idle worshipers. It is well known.

  2. i live in one the those Yishuvim that got an airlifted generator as our normal Chasmal will not be fixed for ~ 1 month and has people move in by me during the recent storm

This is why I don’t give to the JNF, for there are so many people who are living in substandard housing and are very poor, why don’t you use that money to help your own people, JEWISH national fund?????? So here you are giving trees that maybe will live for a week and you don’t give to people who may one day be in the idf, or be one day the leader of the country, or teachers, lawyers, etc. I find that interesting.
