Yerushalayim’s Committee for Planning and Construction announced yesterday the approved construction of a new Blue Line light rail route that will run from Yerushalayim’s southern neighborhood of Gilo, through downtown Yerushalayim to the city’s northwestern neighborhood of Ramot.

“The city’s inhabitants will be able to benefit from less travel time, fewer traffic jams, cleaner air, and a more exciting urban environment,” remarked Yerushalayim’s Mayor Nir Barkat.
