In addition, Mr. and Mrs. Schubert have committed themselves to helping Yeshiva Emek Halacha for over 30 years in a multitude of ways. Reb Shamshin, the vice president of the bais medrash, has been dedicated to all of the needs of the bais medrash since its founding.

Rabbi Ephraim Frankel, an outstanding talmid of Yeshiva Emek Halacha and a musmach of Rav Tuvia Goldstein zt”l, will receive the Harbotzas Torah Award. Since leaving the yeshiva, Rabbi Frankel has been using his many talents and his ahavas haTorah to accomplish much in the community of Far Rockaway. In a short span of time, he has opened an afternoon kollel and a seminary for girls, and is very involved in many klal endeavors.

This year’s dinner marks the fortieth anniversary of the yeshiva, which Rav Tuvia Goldstein opened in September 1969. The first group of talmidim will be honored at the dinner. Over the last few weeks, while being interviewed, these talmidim have related beautiful memories and interesting anecdotes about the yeshiva‘s humble beginnings. This outstanding group will reunite at this year’s dinner to recall the tremendous Torah legacy that was instilled in them.

A special part of the program will be the presentation of semicha to the first musmachim who will be receiving semicha from the rosh yeshiva, Rav Usher David (seen in photo above). Mrs. Krakinowski was a warm and caring wife and mother, and always took a great interest in the yeshiva.

The yeshiva serves as an example in the community and in the Torah world of a makom Torah that produces talmidim who become marbitzei Torah and rabbonim. The upcoming dinner will be a celebration of the yeshiva‘s achievements and a show of support to enable Yeshiva Emek Halacha to continue to reach great heights.
