The seventh grade talmidim of Yeshiva Rabbi Jacob Joseph-Merkaz Hatorah of Staten Island were taken by their rebbi, Rabbi Yaakov Shalom, to receive divrei bracha and chizuk from Harav Yaakov Perlow, the Novominsker Rebbe. The talmidim earned the zechus to meet with the Rebbe by reviewing all of the Gemara they learned this year at least ten times.
The Rebbe tested the bochurim on what they learned this year in Maseches Sukkah and expressed his pleasure with how well they knew what they had learned. The talmidim are approaching their bar mitzvahs and the Rebbe spoke about the importance of the mitzvah of tefillin.He also gave them each a bracha to become a talmid chochom.
