Zara Pulls ‘Holocaust’ Shirt

zara-shirtPopular fashion retailer Zara has pulled its striped “sheriff” T-shirt featuring a six-pointed yellow star that reminded many shoppers of the striped shirts that Holocaust victims wore in Nazi concentration camps. Zara had put the word “sheriff” in faint letters on the star.

“We honestly apologize. It was inspired by the sheriff stars from the classic Western films and is no longer in our stores.” Read more.

  1. Tevye, the Germans were also apologetic. They smiled as they politely told people to enter the gas chambers. You take a chill pill. Shame on Zara! I too, will never buy anything from that company.

  2. This is not the first time Zara’s pulled something from their line because they realized it was anti-Semitic themed. A couple of years ago they recalled a bag that had swastikas imprinted on it. A mistake once. More then once is not a mistake.

  3. Zara is big in Canada.

    They would like to maintain their name..

    oh… striped shirt… oh, not a red star or black or gold… “YELLOW”
