Maran Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman has been hospitalized at Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center in Bnei Brak, returning to the hospital just a few weeks after he was released following a multi-week stay.
Rav Shteinman is suffering from acute respiratory distress and his personal physician said that he must be hospitalized.
He is being treated at the intensive care unit of the medical center.
Rabbi Yaacov Rosenstein, a close talmid of Rav Shteinman, said that the decision was made in consultation with Dr. Avrohom Weinberger.
Rav Shteinman had showed significant improvement in recent weeks, but several medical treatments utilized in the last period that were not reported in the press have apparently caused some complications.
Rav Shteinman davened Mincha with a minyan at his home on Shabbos afternoon receiving shlishi. A bit later, he was suffering from breathing difficulties and was taken to hospital.
All are asked to daven for Rav Aharon Yehudah Leib ben Gittel Faiga.
