One in three British Jews have considered leaving the U.K. over safety concerns related to anti-Semitism, a new poll says.

Further, four out of 10 U.K. Jews hide their faith due to fear of getting attacked for being recognized as Jewish, according to the survey, which was commissioned by the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism and conducted by YouGov.

Fifty-nine percent of the U.K.’s 270,000 Jews feel welcome in the country, and around three-quarters of those polled believe that the British Labour party provides a haven for anti-Semites. Respondents also indicated that Islamic extremism was their greatest current concern.

In July, police data acquired under British freedom of information laws detailed a 45-percent increase in anti-Semitic hate crimes in the U.K., including verbal and physical abuse as well as vandalism.
