One person is dead and more than a dozen hurt after two NJ TRANSIT buses collided in Newark Friday morning, CBS reports.

The victim is the driver of the bus that slammed into the other bus at Raymond Boulevard and Broad Street, knocking it over on its side.

NJ Transit spokeswoman Nancy Snyder said the crash occurred around 6 a.m. when the 59 Line bus was headed north on Broad Street struck the 13 Line bus, which was carrying about 20 passengers.

  1. Unfortunately a lot of bus drivers drive very aggressively, often run the red light, pull out of the stop onto the oncoming traffic, etc. All with impunity. Accidents such as these are the consequences of selective law enforcement. There can be no law abiding society if some animals are more equal than others.
