One hundred terrorists who were released as part of the Shalit deal have returned to terror activities and returned to serve the rest of the prison sentences imposed on them prior to the prisoner exchange.

The terrorists were released on condition that they would not resume terrorist activities, specifically that they refrain from committing any offense punishable by three months or more in prison or any act that harms the security of the State of Israel or the security of the region.

Attorney Michael Litvak, the Betzalmo organization’s legal adviser, responded: “Once again, it is proven that terrorists who are released are returning to the cycle of terror. We call upon the new government to impose the death penalty on the murderers, to punish the other terrorists severely, and not to return to the folly of releasing terrorists. Liberated terrorists are worth an endless cycle of blood.”

  1. Surely some of the former terrorists returned to doing what they were used to, and they have been arrested and are now serving their former sentences for having violated the conditions of their release. About 150 are in prison already, two cases are being appealed in court and another one (if I understand well) was not imprisoned. I don’t know the details of every single case, but the overall picture sounds good to me.

Easy to say don’t exchange the prisoner for terrorists when it’s not our son (at this time) in that situation.
Easy to say impose death penalty when the Jewish “terrorist” is not (at this time) our son.
