A 100-year-old Chinese man has fully recovered from the coronavirus, making him the oldest known patient to pull through the deadly illness, state media reported.

The man suffered from underlying health issues such as Alzheimer’s disease, hypertension and heart failure, the outlet said.

The centenarian patient, who marked his milestone birthday last month, was discharged Saturday from a hospital in Wuhan, the epicenter of the outbreak, after being treated using antiviral medication, convalescent plasma therapy and traditional Chinese medicine, according to the report.

  1. Yet, according to the media, nobody had the flu this year. They only had Coronavirus which, according to the CDC and doctors, is like the flu. And less people died this year from Coronavirus/flu than other years when people get the flu (not coronavirus). We can therefore make an assumption that every year people do not die from the flu but from the flu shots which were not given this year because of coronavirus and only those who got the shots died from… – you guessed – Coronavirus.

  2. Is it my imagination or does the virus look like Hamantaschen? When we blot out Haman on Purim, let’s have in mind the Coronovirus as well.

  3. What kind of antiviral? Antivirals generally have very limited usefulness; if this is a sign that an antiviral is working, we should know which one.

  4. Prince Phillip husband of Queen Elizabeth: In August 1988, he said: ‘In the event that I am reincarnated, I would like to return as a deadly virus, to contribute something to solving overpopulation.’
