The Tel Aviv Regional Committee approved a master plan to build ten thousand new apartments in Bnei Brak and add 16,000 square feet to its industrial and commercial area over the next twenty-five years.
To maximize open space, public institutions will be located on the ground floors of residential buildings.
The plan will increase Bnei Brak’s population from 185,000 to 230,000.

In other news, this plan will increase urban density in Bnei Brak to even higher levels, leading to even more traffic snarls and poor air quality.
