Rav Yitzchok Dovid Zelaznik zt”l

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Rav Yitzchok Dovid Zelaznik zt”l, gabbai of the Lederman Shul in Bnei Brak. He was niftar at the age of 80 at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer.

Two weeks ago, Rav Zelaznik suffered a stroke and had been hospitalized in serious condition since then. After midnight, he was niftar while his family surrounded him.

Rav Zelaznik was born in Yerushalayim, a son of Rav Avrohom Yaakov Zelaznik, rosh yeshiva of the famed Yeshiva Etz Chaim. His mother, Rebbetzin Itta, was a daughter of Rav Yisroel Shalom Luria zt”l.

Rav Yitzchok Dovid’s wife was a daughter of Rav Matisyahu Shtzigel.

Rav Yitzchok Dovid was a well-recognized talmid chochom who learned at Kollel Halperin in Bnei Brak and authored sefer “Yad Yitzchok.” He was the devoted gabbai at the Lederman Shul on Rechov Rashbam in Bnei Brak where Rav Chaim Kanievsky has davened every day for decades,

The levaya will be held today in Bnei Brak.
