Tens of kilograms of gold and hundreds of Smartphones have been found in a Jordanian diplomat’s car by Israeli authorities.
Customs officials at the Allenby Bridge near Yericho and the Customs Investigation Unit foiled the smuggling attempt as the Jordanian embassy diplomat was driving in his vehicle from Jordan to Israel and was detained.
Customs testers initially found dozens of different types of Smartphones. Further inspection found 300 other devices, as well as tens of kilograms of bullion and jewelry made of gold.
