2 More Arrests Made In Brooklyn Antisemitic Attacks

New York City police on Wednesday arrested two more men in connection with antisemitic attacks on Jews in Brooklyn last weekend.

Ashan Azad, 19, and Haider Anjam, 20, face charges of harassment and aggravated harassment as a hate crime with Anjam facing the additional charge of menacing as a hate crime.

A third suspect, Danial Shaukat, 20, on Tuesday was arrested and charged with aggravated assault as a hate crime.

The three men are accused of harassing Jewish men at Agudath Israel of 16th Avenue on motzei shabbos.

They allegedly drove down the street in the Borough Park neighborhood yelling antisemitic slurs before exiting the vehicle and chasing Jews and banging on the doors of the shul that had been locked by worshippers who had just observed the end of Shabbos.

The suspects also allegedly damaged a parked car before speeding off in a getaway vehicle.

  1. This, again, amply shows that the NYPD has the resources and the know-how to remove criminals from society. Yet, the liberals running the city tie the police force’s hands, and blame the cops for responding to violent offenders.

    • Marc, it’s not like the cops are our friends. In fact, the cops are some of the more unethical people in the society, who would do anything just to get their pensions and benefits. There is nothing that can substitute our own self-defense network, which we currently don’t possess in any way shape or form. Being a soft target invites more attacks.
