Some 20 Palestinians were reported injured during violent clashes with Israeli security forces overnight Wednesday as they entered the city of Shechem to supervise the pilgrimage of thousands of Jews to the nearby Kever of Yosef Hatzaddik.
Raw video of the clashes circulated over social media showed Palestinians hurling stones and firebombs at an Israeli convoy as it entered the city to facilitate Jewish pilgrims’ visit to the Joseph’s Tomb compound.
The IDF said that there were no injuries among Israeli forces and that 1,450 worshipers entered and left the shrine without incident.
