The Western Wall Heritage Foundation announced that it is providing visitors with virtual walk through visits to the second Bais Hamikdash using 360 technology.

Artists, researchers, animation experts and programmers created a detailed 3D model of the Bais Hamikdash with exceptional attention to detail, including the materials used in its construction. Participants wear headset-glasses that provide a 360 degree field of vision and create the sense that one is actually standing in the Bais Hamikdash and seeing it as it looked 2,000 years ago. The virtual visit is accompanied by narration based on thorough research.

The nearby Davidson Museum at the southern wall of Har Habayis has long provided a less realistic 3D depiction of every part of Har Habayis on a flat screen program.

  1. I took a virtual reality tour by the Kosel recently it was amazing. I’m not sure if that is what this article refers to, but it was amazing and I highly recommend it.

  2. I took that tour and believe that it is based upon Apikursos!
The most important aspect of the Bais Hamikdash, which is the Mizbayach HaChitzon is MISSING!
Imagine, a keyor, but no Mizbeiach! (that’s because they are embarassed at the though of Korbanos.
Also, there is no tour of the Kodesh Kadashim (I suspect because that would be an admission of
    Hashem’s existence)
was told by a chashuva Talmid Chacham that only those exhibits that have
the approval of Rabbanim are K’dai to see. Now I know why.
